James D. O’Connor is a Vice President at Balance Point Capital. He focuses on due diligence, underwriting, transaction execution, and portfolio management for the firm’s new and existing investments.
Prior to joining Balance Point, James was an Assistant Vice President at CIT Group, where he underwrote and executed leveraged loan transactions, primarily supporting sponsor-led leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. He began his career as an Analyst at CIT and was subsequently promoted to Associate.
James lives in New York where he enjoys spending time in Central Park, trying new restaurants with his wife, and escaping the city for the occasional golf round or tennis game with friends.
